If you are in crisis, please stop here

Nothing on this website is crisis support, and nothing here can respond to you in an emergency.

In the United States: call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. You can also chat at 988lifeline.org. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Outside the United States: contact your local emergency number or your national crisis line.

These are educational materials, not health care

Inner Life Work sells worksheets, journals, planners, prompt cards, and similar resources for reflection and self-guided practice. They are designed by a licensed professional counselor, and they are informed by established therapeutic frameworks — but they are educational materials.

They are not:

  • Therapy, counseling, or psychotherapy.
  • Psychological, psychiatric, or medical assessment or diagnosis.
  • Treatment for any condition.
  • Medical advice, or advice about medication.
  • Individualized professional guidance about your particular situation.
  • Crisis or emergency support.

Buying, downloading, or using a resource from this site does not create a therapist–client, provider–patient, or other professional relationship between you and Bitini Pannell, LPC, or anyone associated with Inner Life Work. A worksheet cannot know your history, notice what you are not saying, or adjust to how you respond. That is what a real clinician does, and it is not what these materials do.

How we talk about frameworks and evidence

We describe our products as therapist-designed and as informed by particular therapeutic frameworks. We choose those words carefully, and we mean them literally.

  • Saying a resource is informed by a framework means its structure draws on ideas from that framework. It does not mean the resource itself has been studied, tested, or shown to produce any outcome.
  • The strength of the research behind any framework varies by framework, by population, and by the problem it is applied to. A well-supported approach in one context is not automatically well-supported in another.
  • Where we name a concept — for example ideas about regulation, grounding, boundaries, or body awareness — we are describing the lens that shaped an exercise. We are not claiming a biological mechanism, and we are not claiming a clinical effect.
  • We do not claim that any product is clinically proven, evidence-based, or effective for any condition. If you see wording anywhere on this site that reads that way, it is an error — please tell us and we will correct it.

Results vary, and no outcome is promised

People respond differently to reflective work. Some find a worksheet clarifying; some find the same worksheet activating or unhelpful. We make no promise about what any resource will do for you.

If a resource brings up more than you expected, set it down. That is a reasonable response, not a failure, and it is a good moment to talk to a professional.

If you are already in treatment

These materials are not a replacement for care you are already receiving, and they are not a reason to change or stop it. Do not stop, start, or change any treatment or medication on the basis of anything you read here. Talk to your own provider first — they know your situation, and many are glad to look at a worksheet you want to try alongside your work together.

Resources for professionals

Some products are sold for clinicians and other professionals to use in their own practice. Those are working templates, not compliant documents. Anyone using them is responsible for confirming they are appropriate for their client and setting, and for adapting them to their own jurisdiction, licensing board, payers, and practice policies, with their own legal review. See our Terms of Use and Sale.

Licensure

Bitini Pannell is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Clinical licensure is state-specific and authorises the practice of counseling only within the state that grants it. Selling educational materials through this website is not the practice of counseling, and it is not limited by state lines — but neither does it extend clinical services to you, wherever you live.
